White Heron Drinks – the creators of the award-winning British Cassis are teaming up with Breast Cancer Haven and will be contributing 3% of all sales to the charity this October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The collaboration between Breast Cancer Haven and White Heron Drinks kicks off on the 1st October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month begins – a worldwide annual campaign initiative involving thousands of organisations that highlights the importance of breast awareness, education, research and support.

To purchase British Cassis and do your bit for Breast Cancer Haven and the amazing work they carry out, visit your local Waitrose, Majestic, our various independent stockists or buy direct from the website – www.whiteherondrinks.co.uk.

Jo Hilditch, Founder of White Heron Drinks commented:

“We’re delighted to get involved in such an important charity as Breast Cancer Haven. All of us have been touched by Breast Cancer – best friends, relatives and close family have suffered. Knowing the mental angst that you go through when Cancer hits your family, Breast Cancer Haven provides the most fabulous support for many people. So doing our bit and contributing a percentage of sales is a small gesture and will hopefully help raise awareness of the incredible network that can surround and support you when you suffer from this most invidious disease.”

During this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Breast Cancer Haven is specifically aiming to highlight the impact a breast cancer diagnosis can have on those closest to the woman diagnosed.

The emotional burden that a diagnosis places on friends and family, particularly on children, can be huge. As well as offering free support services to anyone affected by breast cancer, Breast Cancer Haven offers four hours of free counselling to family members and close friends of people that have been diagnosed with the disease.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK with 1 in 8 women developing breast cancer in their lifetime and one person diagnosed every 10 minutes.

Julie Nicholas from Breast Cancer Haven said:

“I met Jo at the beginning of the year and was instantly inspired by her tenacious business flare, history of White Heron and the compassion Jo showed to our cause. We were delighted when Jo offered to support our Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign, this October and help us raise our profile.”
