Two of television’s most recognisable wildlife presenters have teamed up to give a behind the scenes glimpse of their work with the natural world.
Martin Hughes-Games and Iolo Williams have both presented Springwatch – currently airing its thirteenth series on BBC Two – as well as a number of other wildlife programmes.
They are now bringing their stories to the Gala Theatre in Wildlife Roadtrip, a show suitable for all the family on Saturday, 24 June.
The presenters will share their early love of the natural world, followed by Martin’s experience as a producer and director and Iolo’s time working with the RSPB catching egg thieves, taking the audience on a funny and fascinating journey.
They will be joined on stage by a well-known virtual wildlife expert to make sure the facts are correct, providing an amusing but informative addition to the show.
“We are looking forward to coming to County Durham and sharing our wildlife stories,” said Martin.
“Fans of our nature programmes will enjoy getting a unique view of what really happens when we film the beautiful – but often unpredictable – natural world.”
Those in the audience will also have the opportunity to ask the passionate wildlife presenters questions about their work as they aim to inspire others to care for the world around us.
Tickets for Wildlife Roadtrip cost between £12 and £15 and can be purchased by visiting www.galadurham.co.uk, calling the box office on 03000 266 600 or visiting the box office in person.
