ONE of the North East’s most prestigious hotels is firing both barrels at Father’s Day, with a range of treats for discerning dads.
Wynyard Hall Hotel and spa, Tees Valley, is celebrating the occasion with indoor and outdoor activities from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 June.
On each day it will be serving Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea – comprising a salmon and cream cheese bagel, pastrami and mustard and Isle of Mull cheddar and piccalilli sandwiches, pork pie, sherry trifle and fruit loaf – with a glass of Glenfiddich whisky.
Then, on Father’s Day itself, the celebrations move outdoors with a photographer on hand to take family photos in the Hall’s grounds and a barbecue manned by chefs from the hotel’s Wellington Restaurant.
Fathers will then be invited to try their hand at laser clay pigeon shooting, before enjoying a complimentary pint of beer, lager or cider.
