Yorkshire charity concert makes music for a second year

Yorkshire-based charity, the Zetland Foundation, is holding a classic concert to raise money for aspiring musicians.

Following on from a successful event in Leyburn last year, the Zetland Foundation has once again teamed up with financial advisory company, Fry Family Office, and sponsors Simon Bailes Peugeot, to host the event in October, at the Garden Rooms of Tennants Auctioneers.

This year the concert will showcase Abigail Heath, a versatile and creative clarinettist from Hertfordshire, who completed her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Theresa Yu, a talented pianist from Australia who recently graduated from the Royal College of Music.

The Zetland Foundation is a registered charity which provides both financial and moral support, for talented young people in the Arts. Established in 2000, the charity helps young musicians, actors and dancers trying to establish a career in the Arts.

The organisation offers financial support, personal mentoring and practical assistance, in addition to organising live performances with commercial sponsors and partners, giving young people the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience.

Jonathan Fry, trustee of the Zetland Foundation, and Managing Director of Fry Family Office, said: “We are delighted to be supporting a further concert. We are grateful to the team at Tennants for the opportunity to bring these young professional performers to North Yorkshire”.

Simon Bailes, CEO of Simon Bailes Peugeot, which has dealerships in Northallerton, Guisborough and Stockton, said: “It is important to support the talent of young people and the Arts is a notoriously difficult area to forge a career in. With the backing and advice of invaluable organisations including the Zetland Foundation, these gifted youngsters have the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience, in addition to receiving funding and helpful advice. Simon Bailes Peugeot is a proud sponsor of the second Zetland Foundation Concert, and we look forward to continuing to support these events in future.”

The Zetland Foundation Concert is on October 31. The performance will start at 7pm, and will be followed by a buffet supper with wine and soft drinks at 9:15pm. Tickets are available for purchase at £45.00 via Tennants’s website on http://www.tennantsgardenrooms.com or by calling The Garden Rooms reception on 01969 621146.
