Cygnet Law is embarking on a new fundraising challenge by abseiling down Teesside’s iconic Transporter Bridge to raise money for the Redcar and Cleveland branch of the charity, Mind.
Amy Drinkhall and Nancy McHugh, who are employees at the Redcar-based solicitors firm, will be completing the 165ft descent down the bridge, which is the tallest structure abseil in the North East.
The challenge, which is taking place on 16th December, is part of Cygnet’s ongoing fundraising support for UK mental health charity Mind, after the team has participated in various activities earlier this year, including a charity dog walk on the beach.
Cygnet Law has also raised more than £7,000 for Mind with its Free Will Month last year, where staff delivered its will writing services to 83 people for free, asking only for a charity donation in return.
Amy said: “Cygnet Law has worked closely with several charities in recent years, including Redcar and Cleveland Mind. Although the abseil will be a tough mental and physical challenge for Nancy and I, it will be a great personal accomplishment and will also help those suffering from mental health problems to receive the support they need.”
