North East planning specialist Hedley Planning has announced new appointments as it continues to see strong growth and develop its operations beyond the region.

Rachael Bridges and Niamh McDonald have joined Hedley Planning’s Newcastle office on Grainger Street and Hexham office, respectively. Both have experience working for north east local planning authorities.

Also appointed are Luca Curini and Lewis Davison, who have both joined as planners to complete year out placements with Hedley Planning. A new student planner, Ebony Rolfe, who is currently finishing an MSc in Urban Planning, completes the firm’s most ambitious recruitment drive to date.

All will be involved in assisting the senior team in preparing planning applications and supporting planning statements for the company’s growing portfolio of regional and national clients in the residential and commercial sectors.

Hedley Planning is investing in its team to meet the strong demand for planning services from leading housebuilders, commercial property developers, and the renewable energy sector.

Director Joe Ridgeon said they will continue to recruit as the business expands further over the next year, drawing on the strong graduate talent coming through in the regional marketplace.

“Our strength lies in our people, so I’m delighted to welcome Rachael, Niamh, Luca, Lewis and Ebony to the team. They are talented young planners with strong values that align closely with our business, so I look forward to working closely with them as they build a successful and rewarding career with us.”
