THE NORTH East’s award-winning scare park is giving fans the opportunity to feel “app”rehensive, with the launch of its very first digital download.
Psycho Path, which runs each autumn at Lintz Hall Farm near Burnopfield, has just unveiled its new app, which gives users the opportunity to keep up to date on the event, along with finding out more about their favourite attractions.
The app – which is free from the app store – also gives visitors the opportunity to buy Q passes which means they can be fast tracked through the scare mazes.
This year’s new attraction – Psychotorium – which is described as “ a mind-bending journey which distorts perception with disorientating visuals and unpredictable scares” is also offering queue passes, allowing early visitors to experience it first.
The app also features a detailed map of the entire site which – once the event opens – will give live up dates on the waiting time and queue length, along with the timings of the stage shows.
Fans can also buy Psycho Path merchandise at the in-app store, which offers a range of T shirts including a number of limited edition items.
Christiano Crawford, one of the co-directors of Psycho Path sees the app as the next logical step in the event’s development and believes it is one of the first of its kind to be offered by a scare park.
“With us selling out every year, we though an app would be a great way for people to plan their visit but also to ensure that they were able to get to their favourites mazes without having to queue if they wanted to,” he said.
“The live map will help people decide what order they want to visit the attractions and also ensure they don’t miss out on any of the entertainment or events happening each night.
“We’ve build the app as part of our commitment to improving the customer journey and enhancing the experience.”
This year’s Psycho Path will open on September 27 and then run every Friday and Saturday until 1 November.
