The Alnwick Garden and Lilidorei invite families to explore two magical programmes of activity this February half term, as it embarks on a whole year of 25th anniversary celebrations.
From 14th to the 22nd February, visitors can enjoy historical trails, storytelling activities, and meet new Lilidorei characters, all included with admission to the venue
CEO at The Alnwick Garden, Mark Brassell, said: “This February half term, we are excited to offer two different kinds of visitor experiences, both celebrating the power of stories in very different ways.
“Firstly, we are launching a playful historical trail, encouraging children to follow a map and explore The Garden, meeting some of our most unexpected residents along the way. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, this trail will bring our past to life in a whole new way.
“Over in Lilidorei, we are excited to introduce visitors to Princess Amanita, the latest character to join the magical village, as introduced through the Duchess of Northumberland’s recently launched children’s book, Amanita.
“Throughout half term, the village will also offer a rich programme of storytelling, alongside a ‘GIANT Mushroom Mapper’ trail, which will guide families on a playful journey around the village, leading to a special surprise for those who complete it.”
Committed to providing an affordable day out for the whole family, these half-term activities are all included with standard admission, unless otherwise stated. Tickets to The Alnwick Garden and Lilidorei can be purchased separately, or via a combination pass, giving access to both venues for one cost.
The Garden’s popular Dog Days also return from 12th February, taking place every Thursday and Sunday. Dogs are welcome in outdoor areas of The Alnwick Garden but are not permitted inside Lilidorei or indoor spaces, with the exception of the Atrium.
