Guests at a North East venue will be ‘dancin’ to the Jailhouse Rock’ as part of an Elvis tribute evening.
NE6 Suite, Scrogg Road, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, will be hosting an X-Factor style amateur Elvis contest to celebrate the life of ‘The King of Rock and Roll’ 38 year on from his death.
The amateur Elvis contest, which will be held on 15 August, will be hosted by one of the region’s most popular Elvis Presley impersonators – Mike Memphis – who will also be performing on the night.
The night will also include the chance to shop at merchandise stalls, a number of raffles and a midnight vigil when the clock strikes 12pm. There will also be a number of special guests in attendance.
NE6 Suite is one of Newcastle’s largest hospitality venues and caters for a huge variety of events including weddings, corporate functions, large parties, exhibitions and boxing matches. The versatile events space runs a full programme of events and is available for hire seven days a week.
Tickets to the Amateur Elvis Contest and Live Tribute night are priced at £6 per person for table seating and £4 per person for balcony seating.
