Friday 22nd May 2025 – Today, adidas and Newcastle United proudly unveiled the 2025/26 home kit – a bold reinterpretation of the club’s iconic black and white stripes, which the first team will debut this Sunday against Everton at St. James’ Park.

The new kit introduces a fresh twist on a classic design, blending the club’s traditional stripes with a northern-inspired shepherd’s check pattern, marking the start of a new chapter in the club’s proud history.

The kit is completed by solid black shorts and socks, accented with adidas’ signature three-stripe detailing and a clean white NUFC sign-off. The full-colour crest and ‘Howay the Lads’ neck sign-off continue to echo the club’s heritage – a tribute to the spirit and voice of the fans. A subtle light blue trim around the neckline provides a clean contrast to the classic black and white palette.

Built for players and fans alike, the authentic kit features cutting-edge adidas fabric for peak performance under pressure, while the replica version includes AEROREADY technology, ensuring comfort on matchdays and beyond.

The 2025-26 Newcastle United home kit will be available for purchase from 9:00am on Thursday 29 May. Fans can shop online at shop.newcastleunited.com and www.adidas.co.uk/football-jerseys, or visit official club stores at St. James’ Park, the Metro Centre, Fenwick Newcastle, as well as selected adidas retail locations.

To support the club’s ongoing community efforts, Newcastle United will donate £5 from every adult home, away, third, and goalkeeper shirt sold via the official club website or official NUFC stores before 31 August 2025 to the Newcastle United Foundation. The initiative will help fund grassroots programmes and social impact projects across the North East.

adidas, said: “Newcastle United’s black and white stripes are among the most iconic designs in football. This year, we’ve looked deeper into their origin to bring fans something rooted in tradition, yet bold and new. The shepherd’s check adds a unique layer of storytelling, connecting supporters more closely to the club’s identity.”

Peter Silverstone, Chief Commercial Officer at Newcastle United, said: “This season’s kit launch is about more than just what our players wear on the pitch – it’s about supporting our community. For every shirt sold through official club channels, we’ll be donating £5 to the Newcastle United Foundation. It’s a way for supporters to not only wear the badge with pride, but to directly contribute to the life-changing work the Foundation does across the region. Together, we’re making a difference – on and off the pitch.”

Later this year, the club will also launch a dedicated women’s range, timed to coincide with the start of the 2025-26 season. Featuring a tailored fit and the unique ‘Howay the Lasses’ sign-off, the collection underlines Newcastle United’s commitment to growing the women’s game and ensuring all supporters are represented in black and white.

This launch marks the second season of the renewed partnership between adidas and Newcastle United, following a historic reunion in 2024 that rekindled one of football’s most iconic kit collaborations.
