Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Agents appointed to market newly acquired office building

Osprey HouseAn 11,000sqft office building has come to the market at Silverlink Business Park in North Tyneside.

Osprey House was acquired at auction last month by Washington-based developer and regeneration specialist, Hellens Group, who are undertaking a refurbishment of the premises in a bid to attract new occupiers.

Newcastle-based commercial property consultants, Naylors, have been appointed as joint letting agent alongside BNP Paribas Real Estate to market the vacant office space.

Simon Taylor, head of office agency at Naylors said: “Osprey House is a detached, two-storey office building offering flexible space which can be let as a whole to provide a substantial HQ building accommodating up to 150 people, or it can be let or on a floor by floor basis.’’

Gavin Cordwell-Smith, chief executive at Hellens said: “This was an excellent opportunity to acquire a large, modern office building within a well-established and popular office location which benefits from excellent transport links.  The property is ideally located between the UK’s largest office park, Cobalt Business Park, and Silverlink Retail Park which houses a great selection of retailers and restaurants as well as a cinema.”

Aidan Baker, director at BNP Paribas added: ‘There continues to be a good level of demand for out-of-town office space within established business parks such as Silverlink, particularly given the decreasing supply of city centre office space.  Osprey House is being refurbished to a high standard and I am sure the space will be snapped up quickly.  Occupiers will be attracted by the modern facilities, generous parking and the strong location with its surrounding amenities.”
