Durham County Council is to resurface roads at various locations in the coming weeks, with some closures and use of temporary traffic lights required.
Diversion routes will be in place with signs advising of them, where roads are closed.
Work takes place at a stretch of the A689 East End, Wolsingham, between Gordon Terrace junction and Wolsingham Industrial Estate junction, from Thursday 11 August and is expected to last four days.
Work will take place between 7am and 7pm with two way lights in place on 11 and 12 August and a full road closure on 13 and 14 August.
Resurfacing also takes place at Front Street, Langley Park from the junction with the C17 road to Esh to the junction with Beech Court, from Saturday 13 August until Tuesday 16 August.
The road will be closed from 7am on 13 August until the evening of 16 August.
Further work takes place at the B1285 Graham Way roundabout, Seaham, from Saturday 13 August to Friday 20 August, between 7am and 7pm.
The southbound approach to the roundabout on the B1285 and westbound approach to the roundabout on the B1287 will be closed.
Two way temporary traffic lights will also be in operation to allow residents to access Escallond Drive.
Resurfacing is also scheduled on the B6532 Wear Road, South Stanley, from the junction of the A693 Stanley Road roundabout to the junction of Humber Hill, from Monday 15 August to Thursday 18 August, between 7am and 7pm.
Work will be completed in two phases to allow access to and from Gainsborough Road.
There will be access to and from Tyne Road on 16 and 17 August but no access to and from Tyne Road on 15 and 18 August.
There will be no access onto Wear Road from Wansbeck Avenue and Tees Crescent for the duration of the work.
Resurfacing is also to take place at the A693 Beamish Roundabout eastbound approach from Monday 15 August to Wednesday 24 August.
The C128 junctions onto the A693 will be closed throughout the work with two way temporary traffic lights in place on the A693.
Further work takes place on the A1086 Coast Road, Horden, from the junction with Warren Street to the junction with Cotsford Lane, from Saturday 20 August to Friday 26 August.
The resurfacing takes place at night, from 7pm to 6am.
Work will be carried out in two phases.
The first phase will be from the junction with Warren Street to the junction with Yoden Way, on August 21 and 22.
The second will be from the junction with Yoden Way to the junction with Cotsford Lane, from 23 to 26 August.
