Blu Sky, a North Shields-headquartered B Corp accountancy firm, has strengthened its senior leadership team and recruited eight new team members as it targets £3m turnover by 2027.

Following a year of 20 percent revenue growth, the firm has expanded its leadership board with three fractional appointments, welcoming Cassie Webster as Chief Marketing Officer, Alistair McLeod as Chief Information Officer, and Katrina Appleyard as Chief Sustainability Officer.

Blu Sky is also celebrating several internal promotions. Chrissie Krappe has stepped into the newly created role of Managing Director, Josh Sanghera has been promoted to Head of Growth, and Kim Rowling has taken on additional responsibilities as Head of People, while continuing in her role as Executive Assistant.

Founder and Director Jon Dudgeon said: “We’ve had an incredible year at Blu Sky, increasing our revenue by 20 percent and setting a clear ambition to reach £3m turnover by 2027.

“To support our growth, we have invested heavily in leadership development, working with behavioural coaching company Tribero and New Results Training to enable our people to step into senior roles.

“At board level, bringing in fractional expertise allows us to add depth and strategic capability while staying true to our B Corp values. At the same time, it’s hugely rewarding to see team members progress into the leadership roles they’ve worked hard for.”

Four team members, Matthew Cotson, Bryony Da Silva, Danielle Clements and Reegan Henderson, are taking part in Blu Sky’s newly curated internal leadership and development programme starting this month. The firm is also continuing to invest in early-career development, with Henry Cotson having formally begun his tax apprenticeship, and Lewis Miller nearing completion of his final ACA exams.

Blu Sky continues to grow its team nationally and internationally. In the UK, the firm has welcomed Bob Appleby and Davide Di Maio into the tax team, alongside Alex Boulton and Jaisal Shah in client management roles. The offshore team in the Philippines has also expanded, with Jayvee Bautista, Kathleen Santiago, Danelle Clements and Ritchelle Ornopia joining the business.
