We look at who’s been lighting it up in the BBL during December.

Scoring machines
Our scoring chart went into overdrive as no fewer than seven players reached the landmark of more than 20 points per game. It was reigning BBL MVP Rahmon Fletcher (Esh Group Eagles Newcastle) who led the way with 24 points per game and he was followed on the podium by Anton Grady (Plymouth Raiders) and Jermaine Sanders (Leeds Force) who poured in 22.3 and 20 points per game respectively. Rashad Hassan (London Lions), Maurice Walker (Worcester Wolves), Zaire Taylor (London Lions) and Quincy Taylor (Surrey Scorchers) were the other players to drop in excess of 20 points per game during the month.

Sharp-shooters
The evergreen Mike Tuck (DBL Sharks Sheffield) was the deadliest performer as he fired an excellent 68% from the floor. He was closely followed by Molten BBL Player of the Month, Donte Nicholas (Plymouth Raiders) who converted 67%. Chaz Rollins (Surrey Scorchers) was the other player to deliver more than 65% of his attempts, with nine players across the league going post 60%.

Deadly from downtown
Only Daryl Corletto (Plymouth Raiders) took the honour of making more than 50% from behind the arc during December as he made 15 of his 27 attempts. He was followed in the top three by Neil Watson (Glasgow Rocks) who made 46% from long-range, with November’s chart-topper Deondre Parks (Esh Group Eagles Newcastle) dropped into third place.

On the glass
Maurice Walker (Worcester Wolves) retains his place as the best rebounder around after harvesting 11.3 boards per game for his team. November’s leader was one of only two players who managed to record December double-doubles, with Donte Nicholas (Plymouth Raiders) being the other as he corralled 10 rebounds per game.

Passing the rock
It’s all change in our assists chart with a brand-new podium as Brandon Clark (Leicester Riders) parachutes onto the top step with a sparkling 7.3 assists per game. Josh Wilcher (Cheshire Phoenix) served up 6.3 per game before he sustained an injury which kept him out of his team’s fine road win on BBC Sport at Rocks. Rhys Carter (Plymouth Raiders) was the other guard to dish up six assists per game.

From the line
While there was no perfection on the charity stripe, three players did sink more than 90% of their attempts. Tyler Bernardini (Leicester Riders) made 94% of his free-throws and was followed by Rahmon Fletcher (Esh Group Eagles Newcastle) and Aaron Cosby (Bristol Flyers) who both made 91%.

Steal merchants
Jermaine Sanders (Leeds Force) takes over from his backcourt partner Robert Sandoval who headed November’s chart after snapping up 2.7 steals per game during December. However, he must share top spot with Quincy Taylor (Surrey Scorchers) who matched his efforts. Donte Nicholas (Plymouth Raiders) showed he can do it defensively as well as at the offensive end with 2.3 steals per game.

The swatters
There’s distinctly British flavour to our final chart as Barry Webster (Manchester Giants) is crowned the December ‘Swat King’ with 1.8 blocks per game. Great Britain star Kieron Achara (Glasgow Rocks) follows him with 1.6 blocks per game. Meanwhile Will Neighbour (Surrey Scorchers) and Richard Bell (Manchester Giants) are Brits who blocked 1.3 shots per game – along with four other BBL players.
