Quick Hydraulics, which opened premises in Bradford earlier this year, has received official endorsement from the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) for its training programmes.
After rigorous inspection, the BPFA officially approved the courses on 30 June, positioning Quick Hydraulics as the sector leader in hydraulic training. The BFPA was formed in 1959 to promote the technical, trade and commercial interests of British manufacturers and suppliers of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Quick Hydraulics, part of the Altec Engineering Group, already has 20 years of experience running its unique City and Guilds-accredited, hydraulics training programmes.
Andrew Esson, Managing Director of Quick Hydraulics, said: “Receiving approval from the British Fluid Power Association is an important development for Quick Hydraulics, where we’ve been supporting businesses to manage and develop hydraulic capacity since the early 1980s.”
Quick Hydraulics, which was founded on Tyneside more than 35 years ago, provides hydraulic service, repair and training to clients including Nissan, Caterpillar, British Engineering, Siemens Energy, Hartlepool Power Station and SMD.
The hydraulic training programmes have a unique City & Guilds accreditation. The range of practical, three-day courses start at an entry-level introduction, giving a basic grounding in hydraulic symbols and circuits, familiarisation with common hydraulic components and an introduction to filtration and cleanliness. The most advanced course offers design of hydraulic systems, advanced troubleshooting and closed loop proportional hydraulic control systems.
A full suite of training courses is available at the Quick Hydraulics Bradford premises, which form part of Altec Engineering Group’s 21,000 square foot workshop on Euroway Industrial Estate, on the M606. The site also offers a full hydraulic service and repair workshop.
