North East Connected

Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Free course to help job seekers write their own destiny

CaptureAttendees at two upcoming free workshops will be given advice on how to professionalise their letter writing when applying for jobs.

The sessions, organised by County Durham Housing Group, will be held on:

  • Thursday, 18 February, from 10am to 12.30pm at Kasko House in Blackhall
  • Wednesday, 24 February, from 10am to 12.30pm at Murton Housing Partnership on Woods Terrace.

Claire Maddison, Employment and Skills Officer at County Durham Housing Group, said: “People can miss out on job opportunities because they are unsure how to write formal letters when applying for roles.

“These two free informal workshops will help to provide attendees with the confidence and skills to write in a professional way when job-hunting.

“Anyone wanting further information, or to book their free place at a workshop, should email employability@cdhg.co.uk or call us on 0191 349 7657.”

County Durham Housing Group’s Employment and Skills Team provides support to tenants of Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes to find a job, access training, gain apprenticeships and venture into self-employment.
