County Durham Housing Group is on the lookout for tenants to join its board and Operations Committee.

The group, which is the parent organisation to landlords Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes, is looking to recruit two new people to join its decision making structure.

Tenants are being asked to apply for a place on the Common Board, which is responsible for the overall control of the group, including its strategy development, resources, legality and monitoring performance; and to its Operations Committee, which has responsibility for reviewing the performance and service delivery of housing, customer and property services.

Andrew Traynor, Head of Business Assurance and Group Secretary, said: “Both vacancies provide fantastic opportunities for tenants who want to expand their skills and knowledge, and want to make a real difference to housing in across the county.

“We are looking for applicants with experience in community engagement, as well as analysing performance data.

“Training and support will be provided in both roles.”

For an informal and confidential discussion about either role, please contact Andrew Traynor at governance@cdhg.co.uk in the first instance.

Further information can be found at altairltd.co.uk/recruitment/

The closing date for applications is 10am on Friday, 7 July 2017. Interviews may be held on either Tuesday, 27 or Wednesday, 28 July, 2017.
