Screen Shot 2015-11-19 at 10.58.44The best of North Tyneside’s businesses are to be celebrated at an event next month.

Taking place on the evening of December 1, the annual North Tyneside Business Awards will honour businesses that have made a huge contribution to the borough.

It’s been organised by North Tyneside Business Forum, and a total of 18 businesses have been shortlisted across six categories.

One of them will also take away the coveted ‘North Tyneside Business of the Year Award’, which was won by Owen Pugh Group last year.

Ahead of the event, North Tyneside Elected Mayor, Norma Redfearn said: “I am looking forward to the awards ceremony in December and celebrating the brilliant contribution that these businesses make to our local economy, our communities and to the people who live and work here.”

Comedian Brendan Healy will host this year’s awards ceremony and an after dinner speech will be given by adventurer Jamie McDonald.

Tickets are on sale for the event, which is being held at The Village Hotel on Cobalt Business Park, priced at £45.
