Kite Packaging donates £1,000 to Grace House

Kite Packaging have kindly decided to support Grace House with a £1,000 donation. This donation comes as the employee-owned packaging company announced plans to extend its network of regional distribution centres to service the North East of the UK, an expansion on their existing presence in the Midlands, North, Thames Valley, South Wales, South Coast and South East.

Corporate Fundraiser Laura Jane Forbes welcomed several staff members to Grace House and said “We are absolutely delighted that Kite Packaging have chosen to support Grace House with such a fantastic donation. We rely heavily on support from the local community and the generosity of Kite Packaging really will make such a big difference to the children and families we support.”

Grace House offers specialist short break care to children and young people aged 5-18 living in the North East, who have a complex disability, autism or health needs.

Children and young people come and stay at Grace House for planned, regular mini-breaks, enabling them to have fun and spend time with their friends, in a home from home environment that can meet all their needs. The children have the time of their lives while their parents or carers have a break from caring. We offer regular activities including cooking sessions, trips out, gardening and sensory play. The amazing garden space is used both for play and for growing fruit and vegetables which the children can then pick and use in our cooking sessions giving them a sense of pride, achievement and independence.

Eleanor Gray, Regional Manager from Kite Packaging said “Here at Kite we strongly believe in giving something back to the local communities we operate within. Kite Packaging North East are proud to support Grace House in their fantastic efforts to provide much needed respite to families who need it most. We are thrilled that our donation will be put to good use for a great cause.”

Everyone at Grace House would like to extend our sincere thanks to Kite Packaging.
