Community radio station, Radio Northumberland has welcomed a new partnership for its popular business show.
Staffed entirely by volunteers, the internet radio station based in Bedlington broadcasts a variety of music styles and genres as well as running shows produced and presented by local schools and other community organisations. The station has a wide listenership from the Borders to Hexham in the West and south to Tyneside as well as listeners all over the world. Now, in a partnership with business magazine, Northern Insight, the station is looking forward to increased listening figures and gaining more contacts in the business world.
Presenter of the station’s business show, Keith Newman said: “At Radio Northumberland, we’ve been providing 24 hour programming since January 2012. We’ve gained a reputation for community involvement as well as broadcasting music and talk based programming. Our business show features interviews with people in the north east who have a story to tell and each show is a mix of interviews, music and topical comment.”
The show will be renamed the Northern Insight Business Show and can be heard every Tuesday at 1pm with reruns at various times during the week to cater for audiences abroad and those who are working during the day.
Michael Grahamslaw, Managing Director of Northern Insight Magazine was delighted to team up with Radio Northumberland.
“Community radio has a real place in the business world and by mutually promoting each other in our respective media, we can both benefit. The quality of the station’s programming is second to non-and it’s great to be associated with such a worthwhile community project.”
The station can be heard via its website radionorthumberland.com, by apps such as TuneIn Radio and also by asking Alexa to “play Radio Northumberland.”
