Manor Walks puts the sparkle into Christmas this festive season

Manor Walks Cramlington is counting down to Christmas with a host of free, festive family fun.

Its illuminating seasonal celebrations begin on Saturday 25th November with its Christmas Lights switch on between 10am and 4pm. The event, held in association with Heart FM and Cramlington Town Council, will feature a wide variety of festive family fun for all ages, including live music from brass and steel bands, mesmerising light-up stilt walkers, face painting, dance performances and the exciting live final of Manor Walks’ singing competition, A Star is Born.

Heart FM’s Tom Campbell will host the switch on and visitors can experience the radio station’s photo booth and glitter station. Enjoy a special meet and greet with the Snow Sisters and their snowman friend including a ‘Let it Go’ sing-a-long with the Snow Queen herself.

The yuletide event marks the start of Manor Walks’ month-long Christmas celebrations, including Santa’s Magical Grotto. Where children can also visit Santa for free, meet his elves from the North Pole and find out if they are on the naughty or nice list.

Santa’s Magical Grotto runs from 11am until 3pm on the following dates: Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th November, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th and Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd December. Book online at www.manorwalks.co.uk to reserve your magical slot – but be quick as places are limited due to Santa and his elves being very busy in his workshop. There will also be some magical slots created on each day for drop-ins.

There is a variety of free, fun festive craft workshops: on Saturday 2nd December, Mrs Claus and her elf helper Merry Jingle, will be helping children to write letters to Santa to ask for their favourite toys. Children can also get crafty on Saturday 9th December by decorating their very own bauble. Then on Saturday 16th December they can discover what it takes to become a real elf with Santa’s elves Tinsel and Cookie.

The festive fun also continues after Christmas as children can get creative to make a personalised snowman craft on Thursday 28th December. All of these workshops take place from 11am until 3pm.

There is something for everyone to enjoy at Manor Walks this Christmas. Don’t forget there’s also a host of family entertainment to enjoy, including the state of the art 9 screen Vue cinema, bowling, climbing, swimming pool, soft play and a range of restaurants from Nando’s to Prezzo and Glass House for you to enjoy during you trip to Manor Walks. Plus, free parking will be available with additional overflow throughout the festive season.
