Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Prominent lawyer joins Teesside’s Endeavour Partnership

A leading North East dealmaker has joined Stockton-based Endeavour Partnership as the firm continues with its growth plans.

Nigel Williams previously headed up the Teesside office of a large, national practice before assisting in their corporate practice in Leeds for several years, working on a variety of high value corporate transactions with a particular focus on manufacturing and the chemical sectors.

Throughout his 25-year career, Nigel has advised many locally-based, privately-owned businesses, as well as national and international clients such as Sembcorp Utilities and PD Ports.

Recent transactional work includes advising the shareholders of Scientific Laboratory Supplies on their merger with France-based Dominique Dutscher SAS and advising the shareholders of Chemoxy International on their refinance and then subsequent sale to global chemical manufacturer Novacap SAS.

Nigel has also carried out work in the public sector, including advising the local authority owners of Durham Tees Valley Airport in relation to their shareholding. Nigel also helped establish and acted as company secretary to Tees Valley Regeneration throughout its ten-year life.

Nigel, originally from Middlesbrough, joins Endeavour as a partner in the corporate department and will be responsible for handling a variety of transactional work, business development and mentoring other members of the team.

At the end of 2017, Endeavour Partnership announced its most successful year in the firm’s 18-year history. The Stockton-based business law firm is a year ahead of its anticipated growth plans.  Endeavour remains on track to deliver its five-year business planning objective of doubling its turnover during this period.

The Teesdale-based firm currently employs a team of 54 and hopes to create around six new jobs in 2018.

Speaking about joining Endeavour, Nigel said: “Teesside is where I grew up and I am delighted to be joining a local firm with such a great reputation. Endeavour is thriving right now and has some fantastic clients. I am looking forward to helping them as well as new clients realise their growth ambitions.”

Managing partner at Endeavour Partnership, Paul Bury, said: “Nigel is one of the North’s most prominent commercial lawyers and is well-known and highly respected throughout the industry. He joins us at a very important time in our development as 2018 is set to be very busy and we have some big growth plans, to which Nigel will be pivotal.”

Endeavour Partnership has a reputation spanning over 18 years in providing high quality advice on a range of business law matters including mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, employment and pensions, business immigration, commercial property and corporate recovery and insolvency from its headquarters at Teesdale in Stockton.

The firm was again recognised as one of the North East’s top corporate and commercial practices in the prestigious Legal 500 and Chambers guides with every department highly ranked.
