A range of issues are on the agenda of South Tyneside’s People Select Committee taking place next Tuesday, 26 April.
Among the items up for discussion, there is a presentation on the Director of Public Health’s Annual Report which focuses on community-led approaches to improving the Borough’s health and wellbeing.
The presentation will outline the key health issues for residents including life-limiting illnesses,drinking to excess, smoking during pregnancy and unhealthy weight. It will also give an overview about the benefits of developing the work already underway with communities to help tackle these issues through improving the Borough’s overall health and wellbeing.
Committee members will also receive a presentation about the Edge of Care Services for looked after children in the Borough.
