A REMINDER is being issued that works to improve traffic flow on Middlesbrough’s Cargo Fleet Lane and the surrounding road network will begin on Sunday.
The upgrade of the traffic signals at the junction of A171 Cargo Fleet Lane and A1085 Longlands Road – known locally as the Brambles Farm junction.
Work at the junction will start on Sunday, February 28, with completion expected by mid-April.
In order to minimise disruption to traffic, temporary traffic lights will be in operation, and the contractor will work seven days a week to ensure that the works are completed as soon as possible.
Lane closures will also be restricted to off-peak periods to maximise traffic flow.
Advance warning signs are in place on all four approaches to the junction, and the variable message signs on the A66 on both approaches to Cargo Fleet Roundabout also carry a message advising drivers of the works.
