Romanby School Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) outdoor area project is receiving support from two local businesses.

The school recently had a ‘good’ Ofsted but needs to improve its outdoor area for the Reception children and appealed to local businesses for help.   It has an excellent space but little in the way of resources and needs to develop the area in order to promote the best learning outcomes for the children.

Tesco Northallerton has asked Simon Bailes Peugeot to offer one lucky person the chance to win a Peugeot RCZ for a dream weekend of luxury, sports driving (terms and conditions apply).  The Peugeot  RCZ Coupe is an upscale sports car with unique design that boasts immaculate styling with impressive performance.

Faye Stevenson from Tesco Northallerton said:  “This is a fantastic project for Tesco to be involved with that gives a real benefit to the children and will have a lasting impact.

“It is great to work with Simon Bailes and build relationships with local businesses.   My colleagues are dedicated to ensuring that this is a successful project and are looking forward to visiting the school to see the finished results.”

Simon Bailes said:  “Helping local projects is an important part of our businesses commitment to the communities in which we work.

“Romanby School EYFS desperately needs assistance to spruce up its outdoor space to create a great environment for the children and we are delighted to team up with Tesco to support this fantastic fun initiative.”

Teacher at Romanby School Becky Allen added:  “As an EYFS teacher I put great importance on the value of daily outdoor experiences for children’s learning and development.

“By creating areas of interest and introducing new and stimulating resources that are linked to the EYFS curriculum, children will have unique, first-hand learning experiences that are engaging and thought provoking.

“The children are really going to benefit from this and we’d all like to thanks Simon Bailes and Tesco for their tremendous help and support.”

Raffle tickets to win the Peugeot RCZ for a weekend are available for £2 each from Tesco Northallerton and all proceeds will be donated to the Romanby School EYFS Outdoor Project.
