Ryecroft Glenton, the Newcastle-based independent accountancy practice, has expanded its presence in the UK recruitment sector after securing a contract with a London-based international staffing business, One Search.
The firm will provide a suite of services to the companies including cloud accounting and payroll management to One Search and is the third such contract win Ryecroft Glenton has secured in the sector in recent months.
Ryecroft Glenton has established a respected position in the human capital sector, particularly through its Corporate Finance division, which is advising on a growing number of transactions from the recruitment industry. These latest client wins represent the practice’s increasing delivery of a range of financial services to staffing companies outside of the North East.
One Search, which was established in 2006 and has offices in London and New York, is a financial recruitment company, which specialises in a range of sectors including infrastructure, energy and real estate.
To support One Search’s UK and international business activities, Ryecroft Glenton utilises global cloud accountancy technology, Xero.
With more than 200,000 users world-wide, Xero is a highly-secure online accountancy solution, which provides a range of services including automated invoicing and real-time reports enabling Ryecroft Glenton to continuously maintain a full picture of its clients’ businesses and provide the best possible advice.
The technology has facilitated growth for Ryecroft Glenton’s accountancy service with in excess of 100 clients now signed up to the service, which enabled the practice to secure ‘Gold’ operator status from Xero in 2015.
Chris Robson, Managing Partner at Ryecroft Glenton, said: “Our extensive experience in the staffing sector, supported by our increasing use of secure cloud-based systems is supporting our growth in this market.
“We are very proud to secure One Search as a new client for the firm, which, like our other London and South East-based clients also benefit from the lower-cost base operations we can offer from the North East. These factors, when combined with our real-time online systems, offers a very efficient and smart way to do business.”
Dan McCarthy, One Search, said: ““We are delighted to have moved across to Ryecroft Glenton, which was recommended to us by some trusted contacts in the industry. Although the firm is based in the North East, I have had more face time with Chris Robson in the last six months than I had with our previous accounting firm in 10 years. He is regularly in London and likes to see his clients face to face and understand their issues. The service so far has been prompt and efficient, and the people are a pleasure to work with.”
