Staffordshire success for Table Tennis Club

Screen Shot 2016-05-10 at 13.33.2316-year-old Lee Tinkler took park in the Burton Uxbridge 1* on the 8th of May, Drawn in group 4 Lee started by beating Aaron Radford, James Laban & Saif Mohammed Aslam all without dropping a set.

In the quarter finals Lee found himself 2-1 and 9-4 down to Mathew Blake from South Yorkshire before pulling it back to take the win 3-2 to set up a semi-final with Daniel Allen from Staffordshire and yet again Lee came through in the 5th set to reach the final. His opponent in the final was Chamika Weerasinghe from Kent. The number 17 in England was just too strong for Lee winning 3-0.

New Adult Table Tennis Sessions Bishop Auckland Table Tennis Club has this week launched a new adult sessions, Open to all adults from total beginner’s though to league players. Mondays and Fridays 7.30-9.30 with no obligation to stay for the whole duration. Sessions take place at Bishop Barrington School in the Newly developed Table Tennis Hall, cost is £3 and bats and balls are provided.
