THE chance to the start the day with Father Christmas and his elves is now on offer to shoppers at Sunderland’s the Bridges.
As part of the centre’s packed festive programme, it is once again offering youngsters the chance to have Breakfast with Santa.
On Sundays 8,15 and 22 December the Bridges will host the breakfast event from 8.30am until 10am, a great opportunity to get children in the mood for Christmas.
The day will start with a breakfast treat at Starbucks, when the youngsters can choose from a chocolate or cheese twist, a croissant or a banana and from a choice of selected drinks.
Then it will be time for a jolly game of pass the parcel, followed by story time with Santa and then a visit to his sparkling ice grotto in the centre, where each child will receive a gift.
Tickets for the event cost £10 per child, with adults able to buy their own refreshments at Starbucks on the day.

Breakfast with Santa is part of whole host of events taking place at the Bridges in the run-up to Christmas, which includes the opportunity to try out its festive-themed VR ride each weekend and to visit Santa in his grotto.
Karen Eve, Centre Director, said the Bridges was delighted to bring the popular event back again.
“Every year Breakfast with Santa is massively popular and the youngsters who attend have a really magical time,” she said.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer three sessions this time round and we know that this will be something that families won’t want to miss.”

The centre is also now running late night shopping every Thursday, plus Monday 16 – Friday 20 and Monday 23 December, with stores open until 7pm.
