Pools will now host Sunderland in a friendly at Victoria Park on Tuesday 18th July (7.30pm kick-off) in a change to the Club’s pre-season schedule.
A strong Black Cats squad are set to form the opposition for Craig Harrison’s men in what will now be our first home friendly of the warm-up campaign.
It will be the fourth time in six years that Sunderland have visited The Vic during pre-season, last term playing here against the backdrop of Sam Allardyce’s protracted appointment as England boss.
The home fixture against Simon Grayson’s Championship outfit means that Pools will no longer make the trip to face Blyth Spartans at Croft Park.
Ticket prices for the Sunderland game will be £10 for adults and £5 for concessions
