TTE promote Northern Powerhouse on India market visit

19008TTE Managing Director, Steve Grant is taking part in an UKTI and NEPIC-led market visit to India, which will promote the capabilities of organisations within the Northern Powerhouse regions.

The business development trip, which takes place between 12-19 March, will provide a number of networking opportunities with influential figures and decision makers within the Indian economy and government departments.

Over the course of the eight day trip, Steve will meet with the Indian High Commissioner, UK India Business Council, Tejkamal Pharmaceuticals, and a number of other businesses in Mumbai, Dahej and Bangalore.

Steve will also present to a 250-strong audience at the 9th Annual India Chemical Industry Outlook Conference on the topic of “Technical Training Centres: Addressing The Skills Gap”, where he will discuss how TTE has delivered internationally-recognised training qualifications to employees of multinational organisations, looking to upskill.

The visit will allow Steve to raise the profile of the TTE’s technical training capabilities in the UK and around the world, which could be utilised by Indian companies as its economy moves further toward industrialisation and its demand for skilled workers increases.

Steve said: “India is now the seventh-largest economy in terms of GDP and is rapidly expanding; it represents an excellent opportunity for experienced UK companies, who can support their development needs with the provision of high-quality products and services.

“The market visit will provide a number of Northern companies with the knowledge, and contacts required to tailor provisions in order to meet the existing and future needs of large organisations, driving the growth.

“TTE has a proud history of supporting the workforce development of multinational oil & gas operators including BP and Shell; we are ideally equipped to provide similar assistance to Indian companies thanks to our industry-standard trainers and facilities.”
