Half of the first homes released at Story Homes’ new development in the Northumberland village of Longhoughton have been sold within three weeks of its launch.
The award-winning housebuilder had plans approved to build 66 new homes to the north of Station Road in March this year. Work started on-site during the summer, with the development – named Chancel Place – officially launching in late September.
Chancel Place comprises a collection of semi-detached and detached three, four and five-bedroom family homes across a range of ten house types.

In addition, according to figures calculated by the Home Builders Federation (HBF), the building of 66 homes will support the employment of nearly 300 people, including apprentices and trainees. Customers rated their buying experience with an outstanding satisfaction rate of 92 per cent, and more than nine in 10 customers said they would recommend Story Homes to a friend.
