County Durham Housing Group has recently announced the appointment of its new Head of Governance and Business Assurance.
Andrew Traynor joins the group from housing association livin where he was responsible for managing governance services, strategic risk, emergency planning and insurance, and ensuring regulation was integrated into the organisation’s decision-making processes
As a qualified solicitor, Andrew will now head up the Legal Services and Governance Team, and advise on business assurance across County Durham Housing Group and its local landlords, Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes.
On his recent appointment Andrew said: “I am really looking forward to joining such a large organisation at its relative infancy and working with key teams and colleagues across the group to make the business a success.
“Good governance is imperative for any organisation, and I see it as my role to contribute towards ensuring that the decisions made at both committee and board level reflect the needs of our diverse 18,400 households.”
Andrew is one of six new Heads of Service that will join County Durham Housing Group as the organisation starts its quest to fulfil its ‘We believe with life without barriers’ vision.
