A NEW campaign raising awareness and funds for mental health has launched on Teesside.
The Little Things encourages locals to do ‘little things’ to put a smile on people’s faces. Whether that’s paying someone a compliment, smiling at a stranger or putting somebody else’s needs before your own, we think it’s the little things in life that make a big difference to everybody.
The Little Things campaign launched on social media on Wednesday 22 April and the team will host a Little Things event on THURSDAY 30 APRIL 2015 at the Teesside University Students Union.
The event will play host to a range of fundraising activities, including giving out free candles, getting people to take selfies, setting ‘little things’ tasks (i.e. encouraging a stranger to go up to somebody and pay a compliment) and a whole host of other fun events.
Jack Crute, a founder of the event, said: “Little Things is a really cool concept and we’re all looking forward to working together to raise money and change perceptions of people’s lives.
“The smallest things make a huge difference to people’s lives.”
The event hopes to raise funds for the Mental Health Foundation.
