As part of Ryedale District Councils ongoing drive for efficiency the authority is improving the way residents can submit Housing Benefit, Council Tax and Business Rates forms.
Residents can now apply for Housing Benefit online conveniently from their own homes 24 hours a day. Supporting agencies will also be able to submit applications with their clients. The new online service makes the application process quicker, easier & more accessible to everyone. Council Tax and Business Rates forms for submitting direct debit details, applying for various reductions and notifying change of address details, are also now available online. In addition we have a new online benefit calculator to work out if you are entitled to Housing Benefit.
Over the coming months we hope to have more forms available to customers on line for a wider range of services. The services already accessible online include the Housing Benefit claim form, Council tax Direct Debit Mandate, Council Tax Change of address and Garden waste and the next forms to go live will be Housing Benefit Change of circumstances, Discretionary Housing Payments and Parking permits.
