Furniture manufacturer Godfrey Syrett has appointed a new group sales director to increase brand awareness throughout the UK and drive sales in new sectors.
The firm has appointed David Hall, formerly managing director at Einhell UK Ltd. David brings with him a wealth of experience in successfully building retail brands on a national scale, and a proven track record in managing growth through increasing sales and profits.
David Hall said: “I am very pleased to join such an established and very well respected firm, I will be working with the sales team to review its target sectors and identify potential new business opportunities within its growth strategy. My key objective is to ensure that the Godfrey Syrett brand and core values are communicated to a much larger audience.”
Godfrey Syrett, who design, manufacture and distribute contract furniture from their Durham and Killingworth sites have a UK-wide customer base and particularly strong links within the education, healthcare, and defence sectors. However, as a local manufacturer, the firm says it is very keen to become more established in the commercial sector and gain new customers ‘on its doorstep’ in the North East.
Neil Tweddle, managing director of Godfrey Syrett said: “We are very pleased to welcome David to the team at Godfrey Syrett. This is a strategic appointment that has come about as a result of our five-year growth plan to increase turnover to £40m. David will be playing a major role alongside other directors to realise the business’ targets and raise awareness of our brand in the North East commercial sector as well as throughout the UK.”
