With the summer season now in full swing, Kia is turning up the heat even further with a range of special edition models on sale now. These eye-catching additions join the Picanto, Stonic, Ceed and Sportage ranges just in time for the temperatures to go off the scale. But that’s not all, Kia has also enhanced its Ceed range, with new ‘2 Nav’ editions and the addition of automatic transmission to its ‘GT-Line’ range.

Picanto ‘Titanium Edition’

  • Classy Titanium silver paintwork included as standard
  • LED bi-function projection headlights as standard

Following the success of the Picanto ‘Wave’ special edition introduced earlier this year, an exciting new ‘Titanium Edition’ is now available, targeted at a younger audience, or for those that are still young at heart. There’s Titanium silver metallic paintwork, rear privacy glass and 15-inch alloy wheels, in addition to LED bi-function projection headlights, LED daytime running lights, front fog lights and LED rear lights. The interior features an elegant and sophisticated black faux leather upholstery with black high gloss trim accents for the door armrests, air vents and lower centre console trim. The youthful character is emphasised by the fitment of a seven-inch touchscreen display with RDS and DAB radio, including Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM, with voice control and reversing camera with dynamic guide lines. The ‘Titanium Edition’ is available with the 1.0 MPi 66bhp petrol engine with five-speed manual transmission and is priced at £12,350, or alternatively with the 1.25 MPi 83bhp four-speed automatic at £13,520.

Stonic ‘Maxx’

  • Clear white paintwork and contrasting Midnight Black roof
  • Powered by 1.0-litre T-GDi 118bhp petrol engine

A new addition to the Stonic range is announced, with the ‘Maxx’ special edition replacing the outgoing ‘Mixx’ edition. Available to order now, the ‘Maxx’ features a premium monochrome exterior consisting of Clear White paintwork and a contrasting Midnight Black roof. This is combined with black door mirrors, rear privacy glass and unique 17-inch graphite alloy wheels for a stylish look. Unique within the Stonic range, the ‘Maxx’ features faux black leather upholstery, together with a black leather steering wheel and gearshift. Other key equipment upgrades include a reversing camera with dynamic guide lines, satin chrome interior door handles and LED rear combination lights. The ‘Maxx’ is powered by the popular 1.0-litre T-GDi 118bhp petrol engine, coupled with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic DCT gearbox. Prices start at £18,770 for the manual, with the automatic version costing £19,770.

Ceed ‘GT-Line Lunar Edition’

  • ‘GT-Line Lunar Edition’ takes its name from its premium Lunar Silver paintwork
  • LED bi-function headlights and panoramic sunroof fitted as standard

A stylish new special edition has been revealed for the Ceed range, with the ‘GT-Line Lunar Edition’ now on sale. Featuring premium Lunar Silver metallic paintwork as standard, it is combined with eye-catching LED bi-function headlights and a panoramic sunroof. The interior features the same smart black cloth seat trim with faux leather bolsters with integrated GT-Line logo and grey stitching that you’ll find on other ‘GT-Line’ variants, as well as heated seats and steering wheel and a leather D-cut steering wheel with grey stitching. Available with the five-door hatchback bodystyle, the ‘GT-Line Lunar Edition’ is available with the 138bhp 1.4-litre T-GDi engine with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic DCT gearbox. Prices begin at £24,140 for the manual and £25,240 for the automatic version.

Ceed upgrades

  • New Ceed ‘2 Nav’ offers the benefit of an eight-inch touchscreen satellite navigation system for just £300 extra, compared to Ceed ‘2’
  • Seven-speed automatic DCT gearbox now available with ‘GT-Line’ trim and 134bhp 1.6-litre CRDi engine.

In response to customer demand, Kia is introducing additional variants to the Ceed line-up, with a new ‘2 Nav’ grade joining the range. Offering the same equipment as the well-equipped ‘2’ grade, the newcomer additionally features an eight-inch touchscreen satellite navigation system as standard. The Ceed ‘2 Nav’ is available in two bodystyles – Ceed five-door hatchback and Ceed Sportswagon – with either the 118bhp 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine, or the 114bhp 1.6-litre CRDi unit, each equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. Prices start at £18,900 for the Ceed ‘2 Nav’ 1.0-litre T-GDi and £19,900 for the Sportswagon variant, while the diesel alternative costs £20,150 for the five-door hatchback and £21,150 for the Sportswagon. The additional cost of the ‘2 Nav’ model compared to the regular ‘2’ is a snip at just £300.

Other enhancements to the Ceed line-up include an additional ‘GT-Line’ derivative, priced at £24,630, and equipped with the 134bhp 1.6-litre CRDi engine and seven-speed automatic DCT gearbox. The new combination is available to order now and replaces the ‘3’ grade 1.6 CRDi 114bhp seven-speed automatic DCT.

Sportage ‘Platinum Edition’

  • Two distinctive interior and exterior colourways – Dark Penta Metal with black leather upholstery and Lunar Silver with grey leather seats
  • Available exclusively with the 134bhp 1.6-litre GDi petrol engine

The newest addition to the Sportage range is the ‘Platinum Edition’, available exclusively in two exterior colours with standard leather upholstery. Dark Penta Metal is paired with black leather upholstery, while Lunar Silver – the first time the colour has been available outside of the ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’ ranges – is mated with grey leather seats. The Sportage ‘Platinum Edition’ is offered with the popular 134bhp 1.6-litre GDi petrol engine, coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox, and is priced at £26,195.

Based on the grade ‘2’ Sportage, additional equipment includes LED bi-function headlights with adaptive lighting system, LED rear lights, a front wiper de-icer, chrome inserts on the side sills and silver painted front and rear skid plates. For added safety, a Forward Collision Avoidance assist (FCA) system for both city and pedestrian detection is included as standard, in addition to Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW).

On the inside there’s an 8-inch touchscreen satellite navigation system with European mapping and traffic messaging channel (TMC), an 8-speaker JBL® premium sound system with subwoofer, external amplifier and front centre speaker, a 360-degree around view monitor and front and rear parking sensors. There’s also 10-way driver’s and 8-way front passenger’s power adjustable seats, a heated steering wheel, engine start/stop button with smart entry system, a 4.2-inch supervision colour cluster display, high gloss black centre fascia and stainless-steel door scuff plates.
