A Stokesley-based professional development training business is expanding into a new region thanks to an increase in demand for its services as it receives one of the industry’s highest accreditations.
Bespoke Professional Development and Training (BePro), launched in 2014 by Georgina Selmi from Great Broughton near Stokesley, provides tailored and flexible professional development qualifications and has now been awarded accreditation by the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).
Georgina’s mother, Val Swales, joined BePro in 2015 to increase the business’s offering and it has now been approached by a number of organisations and individuals in the York area where there is currently no provision for taught CIPD courses.
BePro is rolling out a range of CIPD courses at York St John University with flexible training options and highly experienced tutor provision at foundation level 3 and intermediate level 5 in human resources.
As well as its courses in York, BePro also delivers courses at Teesside University in Middlesbrough, BePro’s HQ at Terry Dicken Business Park in Stokesley, premises in Northallerton and at various individual business premises.
Both Val and Georgina have many years’ experience in delivering professional development training at colleges and universities throughout the North East and work with a team of professionals who are highly regarded in the sector.
Having previously worked with a partner to offer CIPD courses in the area, BePro has now been awarded this high profile accreditation to deliver both intermediate and foundation level qualifications. Following a stringent approval process at BePro’s headquarters, the CIPD commended BePro on their flexibility and high standards saying: –
“We are delighted to award BePro with accreditation to deliver foundation and intermediate qualifications in human resources. We are sure that this will be a solid centre and are extremely impressed with the team’s enthusiasm whilst maintaining quality and high standards. BePro’s flexibility in offering what’s required for the market is commendable and their rapport with their students and willingness to support development is highly evident.”
At the start of this year BePro secured two high profile contracts with Applebridge Construction in Middlesbrough, to deliver CMI-accredited leadership and management programmes and supervisory training, and with North Yorkshire County Council to deliver a number of business administration qualifications throughout the North Yorkshire area.
Georgina said: “We pride ourselves on the exceptionally high levels of our teaching standards, our face-to-face workshops, the flexibility of when and how you learn and our own professional experiences and we’re really pleased to now have this highly regarded CIPD accreditation. This is a really exciting time for BePro as we celebrate our second successful year in business and look forward to the rest of 2016.
“Our courses are proving a real success with businesses and individuals all over Teesside and North Yorkshire so much so that we have had people travelling from the York area to take part. We’ve also had many more enquiries from this area and, having carried out some research, we’ve discovered that there is currently very little HR professional training provision around York.”
