To celebrate their 30th annual event, Chester-le-Street Cricket club are running their biggest ever fireworks night.

The club has held a fireworks celebration every year since 1988 and this promises to be the most spectacular yet. The showstopper event will take place at the club on Ropery Lane on Saturday 3rd November. There will be a fully licenced bar, a marquee for food, luxury hot drinks and fairground rides, from 4.30pm, followed by the ultimate fireworks display at 6.00pm.

Following tradition, the event will again be run by volunteers and welcomes families from across the region to join in the celebration.

Committee member of Chester-le-Street cricket club and owner of Burdon Pharmacies, Mark Burdon, said: “Our fireworks display is something we look forward to each year and we wanted to celebrate our 30th event with a bang. We see the event as the perfect way to bring the whole community together and welcome people from across the region to celebrate our 30th year with us.”

There are VIP tickets on offer, an exclusive package that gives guests the chance to watch the display from the balcony of the Castle View Lounge. VIP guests will receive a free drink on arrival, there will be burgers, hot dogs, and chips on offer, and they will have full use of the bar.

The event is officially sponsored by Jak HQ, a local full service creative agency who the club recently partnered with to create on their new website, and explore new marketing ventures.
