Northern food service supplier Country Valley Foods is whetting the appetite of caterers across the North of England by introducing a new menu of fresh, frozen and dried products to spice up their specials boards.

The firm, which supplies a number of leading restaurants in the North, is increasing the variety of products it offers. It is creating a one-stop-shop for professionals in the catering industry working anywhere between Sheffield and the Scottish Borders.

Country Valley Foods has extended the range of products it can offer its clients due to its membership of the Sterling Supergroup. It is currently the only supplier in the North East to be part of the exclusive buying co-operative.

The new menu will include charcoal buns, Grand Reserve beef, Oreo doughnuts, and [three sizes of the Teesside specialty dish, the Parmo] Northern Bloc ice cream.

In addition to the fresh and frozen meats that have made the company one of the best-known suppliers in the region and beyond, it will also be stocking an increased variety of vegetarian and vegan foods and sundries to cater for the growing popularity of meat-free diets.

James Munro, Joint Managing Director at Country Valley Foods, said: “We’ve had a fantastic twelve months, including achieving AA status with the British Retail Consortium, and joining the Sterling Supergroup. Our partnership with Sterling has vastly increased the range of products we supply, and demonstrates our high quality and standards.”

Edward Munro, Joint Managing Director at Country Valley Foods, added: “Our business is evolving, and more chefs based in the North are approaching us to transform their menus into something special. We’re proud to have control of our supply chain from pasture to plate, and work closely with farmers, livestock markets and suppliers across the North of England to guarantee products of the highest quality.”
