Families and foodies from across the North East are being invited to indulge their appetites at one of the region’s newest restaurants.
The Karbon Grill Kitchen and Bar, which recently opened close to Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, is hosting its first Big Lunch on Sunday June 12.
The event, which is open to all ages, will feature an array of sumptuous street food, including signature ribs, meat skewers, mini burgers and salads, all inspired by the eatery’s Pan-American menu.
Those in attendance will also be able to try their hand at a variety of games and family-focussed activities, including a treasure hunt and face painting.
“Meal times are very family orientated back in Italy,” said Luca Tomassetti, Head Chef at the Karbon Grill Kitchen and Bar.
“The Big Lunch event is designed to capture that feeling here in the North East and give more families the chance to spend some quality time together, while also enjoying a selection of mouthwatering street food.”
Tickets for the Karbon Grill Big Lunch event, which are priced at £12 per adult, £5 for ages 12 to 18 and free to children under 12, are available by emailing karbongrill@hgisunderland.com or 0191 3498500.
