The Alnwick Garden is celebrating a surge in ticket sales for its annual Winter Light Trail, up 15-percent compared to last year.

Officially launched this month and running until 4th January 2026, the venue says its exciting new installations have supported what is set to be a record-breaking season, with a staggering 54,000 tickets sold already.

The ‘most enchanting yet’, this year’s trail features expanded pathways, new immersive light installations, sounds, and interactive surprises, carefully designed to captivate all ages for a truly magical winter experience.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to sample festive snacks and winter warmers from local vendors, as The Alnwick Garden continues its tradition of supporting regional businesses and bringing a taste of the community to its vast programme of events.

CEO of The Alnwick Garden, Mark Brassell, said: “The Winter Light Trail has become a staple in our calendar, remaining one of the most visited attractions in the North East during the festive season.

“Its success is phenomenal, and offers a boost not only to The Alnwick Garden charity, but also to surrounding businesses. It’s a pleasure to welcome both returning visitors and new faces, as each year, we offer something new and exciting.

“The experience is totally immersive, and we aim to keep the trail fresh each season. This year is no exception, and we are delighted with the feedback and reactions.”

Generous sponsorships from local businesses and organisations have been instrumental in supporting The Garden’s charitable programmes and adding to its visitor experience.

This year’s sponsors include Arnold Clark (The Ornamental Garden installation), Worldpay (The Rose Garden installation), Lovell Homes (The Water Tower installation), Tyne Tunnels (The Cherry Blossom Orchard installation) and Sage Wealth Management, sponsoring its namesake, The Sage Wealth Management Grand Cascade installation.

This year, The Alnwick Garden has brought back its popular combined ticket, which offers access to the Winter Light Trail and the lights of Lilidorei for one price.

Visitors can choose from saver, standard, or premium dates to suit every budget, and separate bookings can be made to meet with Father Christmas. Visit The Alnwick Garden website here to secure your spot.
