The annual TPAS Awards showcase the success stories of tenants, landlords and contractors who promote tenant involvement work.
We are proud to announce that Gentoo has been shortlisted for a TPAS Excellence Award in the category of ‘Annual Reports’.
As a registered provider, Gentoo are regulated by the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) and are required to produce an annual report tailored for customers detailing how we have performed in the previous year.
A group involving customers and key Gentoo employees, worked together to ensure that the information contained in the most recent annual report was interesting, informative and accessible whilst including information that customers felt was important to them.
The team decided, based on customer feedback, to re-visualise the document completely and the final design was a small concertina fold out which was sent to each customer with their 6-monthly rent statement, together with a supplementary document which included Gentoo’s performance information.
The document was then made available online and in hard copy and promoted across various Gentoo channels including the website, social media and stakeholder newsletters to encourage customers to read it.
Customer feedback on the document confirmed that 95% found the contents of the report interesting and informative. Many commented that it was plain and simple, very interesting and clear, concise and well presented.
The final document and feedback is testimony to the hard work of all involved in the project. The awards ceremony, in which the category winners will be announced, will take place on 14 July 2016.
