Go North East, the region’s largest bus operator, has launched a new range of tickets to help people who work part-time and those who are working more flexibly.

The company has recognised that some workplaces are still not fully open and social distancing remains in place, so a new range of ‘Flexi 5’ tickets have been introduced to cater for the more flexible style of working the region is seeing at the moment.

‘Flexi 5’ allows customers to buy a ticket for the usual price of their weekly ticket but split it over any five individual days. Customers have up to a month to use them from the date of purchase.

The tickets are now available on the Go North East app, starting from just £20, and even cheaper for anyone aged up to and including 25-year-old at just £17.

So, whether you are working more flexibly or only attending your place of education a couple of days a week, Go North East’s new ‘Flexi 5’ tickets offer even greater value for money.

Martijn Gilbert, managing director at Go North East, said: “We know our customers are working more flexibly at the moment as businesses start to reopen, some workplaces combine home and office working, and social distancing is still in place.

“To help with that, we’ve introduced this new range of tickets, so customers no longer have to worry about getting value out of their normal weekly ticket, they can simply use this new ticket type across any five days in a month.”
