The Molten BBL Player of the Month gong for January has been scooped up by Anton Grady after his sparkling form helped Plymouth Raiders go through the period unbeaten.
Having just missed out on the December edition of the accolade to his team-mate Donte Nicholas, the award will remain in the Raiders’ locker-room but move along to a new peg.
Helping his team continue their climb up the BBL table and also booking a place in the BBL Trophy Semi-Finals, Grady was the only player in the league to average a double-double during January.
He poured in 21 points per game (shooting more than 50% from the field) and also pulled down 11.8 boards per game in his capacity as the best rebounder in the BBL during the month.
The forward also showed that he is not only about power, after adding a nice three assists per game – along with 1.8 steals and one block per game.
Grady fought off stiff competition from Rahmon Fletcher (Esh Group Eagles Newcastle), Kieron Achara (Glasgow Rocks) and Danny Huffor (Worcester Wolves) for the gong.
