GLOBAL iced drinks manufacturer Polar Krush reports its best summer to date after sales increase by 60 percent as a result of the company’s brave decision to switch its full range to sugar free recipes.

The North East based firm has experienced record growth, seeing similar increases in dispatch and production compared to the equivalent summer period in 2017.

Michael Reid, sales director at Polar Krush, said: “We’ve had an extremely busy summer, with sales soaring which is great news for the company.

“The unprecedented levels of sales, production and dispatch has meant the factory’s new automated plant has been running tirelessly, which has had a positive impact on employees seeing weekend, late evening and additional shifts added to the factory’s busy rota.”

The demanding summer period resulted in the internal promotion of Karl Rogers who became full time production supervisor, leading and developing skills within the production team to focus on more efficient production. Karl said: “As production supervisor, my focus will shift from working between warehouse and production, to leading the production team with emphasis being on the increase in output and overall smooth running of the manufacturing operation.”

Along with additional scheduled hours for the team, Karl’s appointment will ensure that Polar Krush stay ahead of the season’s high demand. New positions are also planned for later in the year.

Serving over 15 million cups each year worldwide, the global iced drinks company has welcomed another hugely successful year so far, with the acquisition of its competitor Slushee UK in June being one of 2018’s many triumphs.
