Last chance to buy at Bellway’s landmark new development in Killingworth
All but 10 homes have now been sold at Bellway North East’s landmark new development on a former Ministry of Defence (MOD) site in Killingworth.
Once complete, Moorfields will feature a collection of 427 new homes on land off Whitehouse Drive.
The developer is delivering a range of three, four and five-bedroom houses for sale on derelict land formerly used as a depot by the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME).
All five-bedroom properties have been purchased and there are now just a selection of three and four-bedroom houses still to be reserved.
The development hit the headlines after it featured on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, with Bellway giving away a £260,000 three-bedroom home on the site to a deserving local family.
The house was the biggest prize the prime-time show had ever offered and saw the programme become the most-watched TV show of 2020 at the time, with an average audience of 7.3 million and a peak of 8.4 million viewers.
