A law firm at the heart of Yorkshire is branching out with a new office to meet increasing demand.

Coles Solicitors, which has offices across the county, is opening its new Tees Valley hub in Stockton town centre.

The firm has seen year-on-year growth of customers and turnover, and it is planned that the move will further boost its reputation in the Tees Valley.

Director Alex Spurr said: “We decided to relocate from Yarm to Stockton largely due to the town’s resurgence as the dominant town in the area.

“The new office provides us with much more practical, modern office space, similar to our existing commercial bases in York, Harrogate and Northallerton.”

Alex said the increased space would allow the firm to provide an improved service for clients, while the town centre location will make it more accessible to customers across the Tees Valley.

“The additional space means that we can offer a broader range of services from this branch, including our commercial services, tax and estate planning, residential property and family.

“As a large number of our Tees Valley customers live in Ingleby Barwick, Stockton and Middlesbrough, this location will be more convenient, but we will still offer home visits to our customers so the impact of relocating from our Yarm office will be minimal, even for those who cannot travel.

“Our combination of commercial and traditional high street legal services also makes the town centre location essential for individuals to access us, bucking the trend for law firms to relocate out of town centres into business parks.”

The Stockton office will also reaffirm the company’s commitment to supporting the communities it serves.

Managing Director Peter Gibson said: “A large number of our staff are from the Stockton area and have all previously worked for firms in the Tees Valley so it will be manned by local people. As a firm, we love to be involved with and support the local community and having our staff living near to our offices makes this even easier.

“We started supporting the area as soon as we moved in by providing a drop-off point for TFM Cash For Kids’ Easter Egg appeal.”

Coles employs 62 members of staff in 10 offices across North Yorkshire, Teesside and East Cleveland.
