A site manager working for Barratt Homes North East has scooped a prestigious award in a national competition to find the best-run building site in Britain. Steven Taylor, based at Barratt North East’s Teal Park Farm development in Washington, gained official recognition for the excellence with which he runs his development by receiving a Pride in the Job Quality Award. The awards are dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standard in housebuilding.
- Steven from Tyne and Wear, was recognised for his outstanding work, determination and dedication in ensuring that the work undertaken at Teal Park Farm in Washington is of the highest quality and that it is completed in line with its schedule.
- The Pride in the Job Quality Awards are the most coveted in the housebuilding industry and have been instrumental in driving up standards for 35 years. They are awarded after the construction standard setting body in the NHBC carries out a series of spot check sit inspections to select the best-organised and best quality housing developments.
- Thousands of site managers throughout the UK were judges on every aspect of their job, including technical skill, quality workmanship, customer service and site safety. The site managers will now move forward to the final round of the competition, which will select the best site manager in Britain.
