Macropay in Review: European FinTech Helps Ukraine

Apart from happy customers leaving positive Macropay reviews, the firm has more to bring to the world — positive impact through action. Macropay CEO Adam Clarke says that helping Ukrainians is the natural thing to do as businesses have the responsibility to give back to the community in times of need. “While we are stepping up by sending financial aid to those affected by the war in Ukraine, there is so much more to be done,” says Clarke. The CEO says that the company is united in its support for the victims of the current war.

The European fintech company has taken the opportunity to help the warring nation in the ongoing Ukraine crisis. To this day, Russian troops continue to invade Ukraine. Some Ukrainians choose to fight, but many had to flee to neighboring countries. Having operations in Romania, a country located beside Ukraine, Macropay answers the call for help by donating financial aid to the Peace Action Training and Research Institute of Romania (PATRIR).

The donated funds will be used to help Ukrainian refugees as they make their way to Romania to get away from the Russian army and the missiles that are on their way to Ukrainian soil. Donations to PATRIR will also be used to purchase goods like food, water, and sleeping bags for the refugees. Additionally, the funds will cover the costs of transportation for supplies and people.

There are several reasons why Macropay chose to donate to PATRIR. One of these is PATRIR’s location. “The location of PATRIR is very strategic. We believe that [they] can help a lot of people,” says Clarke. Moreover, the fintech firm CEO also says that another reason why they chose to donate to PATRIR is the nonprofit’s proven and trusted experience in peace-making initiatives. The organization is working towards helping all who are being affected by the Ukraine crisis.

While Macropay’s donations already had a significant impact in helping Ukraine, the firm’s CEO calls other businesses to follow its example. “We would like to take this opportunity to ask people to help in any way they can,” Clarke said. While PATRIR has already helped a lot of Ukrainians, there are still many people who are evacuating. This means that help is still needed and that those who want to do so are very welcome.

The death toll is rising, many homes have been turned to rubble, and many families are torn apart. Despite all this tragedy, the war also shows that there are those who are willing to lend a hand whenever it’s needed. Companies often talk about corporate social responsibility. However, not all companies are willing to walk the walk when the time to help comes. Luckily, firms like Macropay exist.
