South Tyneside Residents are being invited to join the Mayoress, Cllr Moira Smith for afternoon tea in South Shields.
An opportunity to meet the Mayoress of South Tyneside is on offer The traditional ‘At Home’ event will be hosted by the Mayoress, Cllr Moira Smith, next Wednesday (22 June).
This year ‘At Home’ will be split into two sessions, both in the Registrars’ Office, Broughton Road, South Shields.
The first session will run from 12.30-2.30pm and the second 2.45-5.00pm.
Musical entertainment will be provided and tea and cakes will be on offer for everyone attending.
Ladies attending are encouraged to wear a hat.

The Mayoress said: “This is a lovely traditional event and I am really looking forward to meeting as many as people as possible.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for people to come and see us and enjoy a chat over a cup of tea.”
